The Darfur Women Network is the only women’s organization based in the USA that is dedicated to helping both Darfuri refugees residing within the US and displaced women and girls living in camps overseas.
MADRE strengthens grassroots women’s organizations in war, disaster and their aftermath. MADRE supports partners to meet urgent needs, build communities that are safer and healthier for women and families, and advocate for lasting change.
Organization for Women’s Freedom in Iraq
Since 2003, the Organization of Women’s Freedom in Iraq (OWFI) has represented a non-compromising feminist voice to challenge the growing patriarchal, tribal, and religious institutions gaining ground in Iraq, and to combat the rise of the misogynistic groups like ISIS. OWFI is committed first and foremost to saving lives, from providing shelters for survivors of violence to feminist education and skill building.
PAVE empowers students, parents, and civic leaders to end sexual violence with prevention education promoting respect for oneself and each other. Additionally, PAVE creates a safe space for survivors to thrive after trauma. PAVE works both to prevent sexual assault and heal survivors through social advocacy, prevention education, and survivor support.
RAINN: Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline and carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
Survived & Punished (S&P) is a national coalition that includes survivors, organizers, victim advocates, legal advocates and attorneys, policy experts, scholars, and currently and formerly incarcerated people. S&P organizes to de-criminalize efforts to survive domestic and sexual violence, support and free criminalized survivors, and abolish gender violence, policing, prisons, and deportations.

TAKE is an organization led by and for Black trans women, based in Alabama. TAKE empowers trans women of color by meeting needs and increasing accessibility to crucial services and economic empowerment, and not only face but reduce the risks of violence faced by trans women of color.
