AUMF
SUPPORT Amendment #21, the Schiff (D-CA)-Garamendi (D-CA) amendment to repeal the 2001 authorization for the use of military force. The AUMF has been used as the legal justification for 13 years of war in Afghanistan, the prison at Guantanamo Bay, and an expanding drone war.

‘OCO’ Slush Fund
SUPPORT Amendment #138, the Mulvaney (R-SC)-Murphy (D-FL) bipartisan amendment to clarify which programs can be sustained by the “overseas contingency operations,” a budget designed to fund the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. With the wars winding down, Congress needs to move the OCO into the base budget and make responsible reductions to reflect post-war needs.

Guantanamo
OPPOSE Amendment #9, the Walorski (R-IN) amendment prohibiting the transfer or release of Guantanamo detainees to Yemen. With over half of the detainees cleared for transfer being Yemeni, Rep. Walorski’s amendment would make it impossible to ever close Guantanamo.

SUPPORT Amendment #10, the Smith (D-WA)- Moran (D-VA)-Nadler (D-NY) amendment remove many of the restrictions preventing Guantanamo’s closure and enable President Obama to close Gitmo by 2016.

Please take two minutes right now to call your Representative on these important issues. Call 1-855-686-6927 TODAY!
